• Question: how long can a job last

      Well a job can last any amount of time really! It depends on what type of contract you are hired, so if it is a fixed term position for 3 months or 3 years, then that’s how long it might last, but you can get an extension of your contract. Or you can leave before the contract ends to start a different job you might have applied for. People can have permanent or open ended positions, but this does not mean they last forever because if the company decides the role is no longer needed, or there is no more funding to pay the salary, you can be made redundant.
